Summary
In a recent preprint paper, a group of researchers from Stanford University and Google have created a miniature virtual world similar to The Sims, where 25 characters, controlled by ChatGPT and custom code, live out their lives independently with a high degree of realistic behavior. This includes forming opinions, noticing each other, initiating conversations, remembering and reflecting on days past, and planning the next day. Humans can also interact with the agents, observing and intervening as they plan their days, share news, form relationships, and coordinate group activities. This research could be a prototype of a future where dynamic RPG characters interact in complex and unexpected ways, enabled by generative AI models like ChatGPT.We care about the protection of your data.
